Abstract

The approximate mathematical model of wire coupling element which connects through a small opening a rectangular waveguide and free half-space was empirically modified in order to ensure greater consistency between calculated and experimental data for energetic characteristics in the frequency band. The reflection, transmission and radiation coefficients were studied for different geometric parameters of the coupling element under consideration.
