The proposed antenna is fabricated on a single layer substrate, which is fully covered with a metal ground on the back. The procedure for slot section is discussed and implemented. The SIW based dual band antenna consists of single slot on top layer of the SIW. The SIW antenna fed with an inset feed transforming micro-strip TEM mode to SIW TE10. Unit cell analysis with single element is studied and analyzed in terms of their impedance and radiation pattern characteristics to validate beam scanning characteristics in Ku-band. Parametric analysis of the single element is done by changing the slot angles.
