To this end, we propose a new method to represent the DNA sequences into scalogram images based on the complex Morlet wavelet transform. As for the coding method which transforms the DNA letters into a signal, we use the Frequency Chaos Game Signal of trinucleotides (coined FCGS3). Abstract

Gene sequences have enabled investigators to explore questions of genomes complexity in related organisms. The ß-globin gene is a successful example which is widely used in comparative genomics and evolutionary analyses.
