Colchicine at 0.5 mM caused a significant decrease in the rate of calcium uptake and in the accumulation capacity of the duodenal cells. 4. Accumulation of calcium in the duodenal strips displayed saturation kinetics with increasing concentration of calcium in the incubation medium. Abstract
