Introduction and overview of statistical process control

Abstract

An introduction to an overview of statistical process control is given. Three basic statistical tools are presented in the following order: X bar and R charts; capability; and gage repeatability and reproduceability. After a general introduction and overview of each tool is presented, an application/example of the tool is given. Influencing factors and other general information is included.
