GENERAL ASPECTS OF STUDYING HYPERTEXTS AS AN OBJECT OF LEXICO-SEMANTIC ANALYSIS

Abstract

The article is devoted to the problems of hypertext research as an object of lexical-semantic analysis.  The article defines the concept, essence and features of hypertexts.  Special attention is paid to lexical and semantic characteristics of hypertexts, as well as defining features of historical realities in hypertexts on the material of the electronic encyclopedia Wikipedia.  It was established that in some cases it is inappropriate to use a literal translation of historical realities in hypertexts, as this affects the logical structure of the sentence and the adequacy of the translation as a whole.
