Abstract

This paper presents the traction control scheme of the long primary ironless Halbach permanent magnet linear synchronous motor (PMLSM) for the maglev vehicle. The configuration of the propulsion system and field oriented control (FOC) scheme of the motor are introduced. The changeover control strategy between adjacent primary sections is described. The simulation and experimental results prove the feasibility of the control scheme for the maglev vehicle.
