Abstract
This thesis deals with the performance analysis of different closed loop controllers for blood glucose level control of type 1 diabetes patient as a nonlinear model, which was simulated in MATLAB Simulink environment. PI controller, Fuzzy logic controller and optimal regulator were used to control glucose level by infusing remote insulin. A basic proportional-integral controller was modified using trial & error method. To enhance the performance of insulin infusion inside the human body Fuzzy logic controller and optimal regulator were also utilized with proper customization. For fuzzy logic, membership functions and fuzzy rules were defined. Also for optimal regulator study, matrixes were built for input & output equations. Finally, the performances of three different controllers were compared.
