Abstract

In this work, a frequency selective surface superstrat dual-band microstrip antenna is proposed. In order to enhance the antenna's gain, the FSS layer is obtained via a periodic arrangement of 5x8 unit motifs in the x-y axis. The FSS layer acts as a reflection surface on the patch, increasing the antenna's gain at higher frequencies.
