Abstract

The spacer keeps a certain distance between the split sub-conductor to prevent the split sub-conductors from whipping each other. In addition, the spacer has a certain effect on suppressing the aeolian vibration of the transmission line. In recent years, due to improper design and selection of spacer, damage to the spacer and faults of worn wires have occurred from time to time. It is necessary to study the vibration characteristics and damping performance of the spacer in the anti-vibration design of the transmission lines.
