With the help of the two characteristics, the leaders were able to make the optimal decisions, both in the short term and in the medium and long term. Abstract

This article presents some arguments that the periods of crisis, dominated by the unknown, uncertainty and change determine the need to increase the degree of adaptability of the leader. The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the fact that leaders need two major forces: resilience and adaptability. During this challenging period, leaders had many decisions to make, made plans and acted. With the help of the two characteristics, the leaders were able to make the optimal decisions, both in the short term and in the medium and long term.
