Evaluation on The Development Level of Service Industry about Sub-Provincial Cities in China

Abstract

This paper establishes service industry development level evaluation model, and uses the city panel data from 2011 to 2016 to comprehensively evaluate the development level of 15 sub-provincial city service industries. Research shows that the overall developing level of the service industry is on the rise and the contribution to the economy is increasing. However, the regional development is obviously different, and the overall performance is characterized by “high east and low west”. The developing level of service industry in northeast coastal urban is generally higher than that in the Midwest region of China.
