PERSEPSI MASYARAKAT GUNUNG MERIAH TENTANG ZAKAT SARANG WALET

Abstract

Zakat has a close relationship with aspects of goodness, it is related to the economy and social. The problem that arises is how the people of Gunung Meriah perceive zakat swallow. This study aims to determine the perception of the people of Mount Meriah through Islamic rules regarding the zakat of swallows. To complete this research, the authors describe and analyze the data that has been collected, both primary data and secondary data. The technique used in collecting primary data is interview. As secondary data, the technique of observing and reading many books, and websites related to this research. The results of the study indicate that there are several perceptions of the people of Gunung Meriah regarding the zakat of swallow nests, including: (a) people do not recognize the obligation of swallow nest zakat (b) there are people who recognize the obligation of swallow nest zakat but are reluctant to issue zakat on the grounds that they follow their parents who has never issued zakat on swallow nests for him, parents know better than their children, and there is a reason that richer people who own a swallow house but do not pay zakat are followed, this assumption has existed since 2006. (b) a small number of people who have The swiftlet house pays its zakat every year to coincide with the month of Ramadan with the reason that it is more blessed, the amount issued by muzakk sincerely (c) some of the people of Mount Meriah spend their zakat not in accordance with Islamic teachings, where they give it to their relatives and siblings regardless of whether they are entitled to receive zakat or not.
