Abstract

The university context has become the subject of much research that correlates academic demands and socio-economic contexts as risk factors and social networks and access to the psychosocial care network as protective factors for mental health. This study was based on the initial seven months of implementation of a Technical Nucleus for Psychosocial Care (NTAPS) in a university context, a pilot project that became a structured project. Concludes about the importance of attention to mental health in the university context and that this should be achieved in its extensive condition, with preventive and other actions of attention, emphasizing the importance of group interventions to reach the university population more intensively and that together promotes social skills that are also protective factors.
