Abstract

This work investigates a neiv procedure for the shaping of axis-symmetric dual-reflector antennas to control the amplitude and phase of the aperture-field. The generatrices of sub- and main-reflectors are shaped through consecutive concatenation of conic sections. To illustrate the efficacy of the algorithm, an axis-displaced Cassegrain configuration is shaped to provide an uniform aperture mumination, under Geometrical Optics principles.
