A semi-circular slot loaded E-shaped patch antenna with enhanced bandwidth for wireless communication

Abstract

An E-shaped patch antenna with a semi-circular slot resonating at 5.2GHz and 5.8GHz over an inclusive bandwidth of 1.2 GHz is elucidated. The representation of this antenna illuminates high speed wireless local area networks and communication systems ranging between 5–6 GHz frequencies. The proposed antenna is contrived for a fair augmentation in the bandwidth from 16.66% to 21.12%, conserving other antenna parametric values at par.
