Criterion of optimization characterizes the mean-square deviation of the desired and created amplitude RPs. There no necessity to impose a restriction on the norm of the excitation currents in the array's elements because the amplitude of currents are given simultaneously with the amplitude RP. The respective Euler equation is derived for the optimization functional; the numerical procedure consisting of the convergent iterative process is developed. Abstract
The phase synthesis problem of the plane equidistant array through the amplitude radiation pattern (RP) is considered in the variational statement.
