Abstract

The phase synthesis problem of the plane equidistant array through the amplitude radiation pattern (RP) is considered in the variational statement. Criterion of optimization characterizes the mean-square deviation of the desired and created amplitude RPs. There no necessity to impose a restriction on the norm of the excitation currents in the array's elements because the amplitude of currents are given simultaneously with the amplitude RP.
