Abstract
Authors propose a simple, but powerful, modification of the Spiral Optimisation Algorithm, which includes stochastic disturbances in its searching trajectories. As a primary study, several tests were carried out implementing proposed and original algorithm to solve different benchmarking problems. Results were compared with some reported in literature. It was noticed the proposed modification enhances the spiral-inspired method in terms of convergence, specifically at high-dimensional optimisation problems.
