Research on pennisetum species' buds identification based on machine vision

Abstract

In this study, machine vision technology is applied to obtain the buds information of pennisetum spp., and it could improve the accuracy of seed preparation equipment. Here we summarized the system of machine vision that applied to identify the buds of pennisetum spp.. Digital image processing method used for recognizing the characteristics of pennisetum spp. was put forward in this study. Based on the current research condition, finally, this paper discussed issues and study prospects of seed preparation equipment in the field of stalk crops characteristics identification.
