Abstract

A spoof surface plasmon polariton (SSPP) half-mode substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) is proposed by GaAs processing technique. Due to the strong field confinement of the SSPP propagation, as compared to the traditional solutions, the proposed solution shows better suppression to the self-generated coupling signal, which can be used to reduce the occupied areas of integrated circuits. Compared with existing SSPP-SIW structures, the proposed one is developed from GaAs techniques for the first time with the advantage of reduced size.
