Abstract

Communication of persons with hearing impairment with the general public is very limited, this is because the general public does not understand the Indonesian sign system. To overcome these problems it is necessary to develop a system that is able to translate spoken language into sign language or vice versa from sign language to oral language. The first thing to do to build a translator system is to create a database that can be used to store the Indonesian Sign System.
