In order to shorten the repair time of inter-turn short circuit fault, it is necessary to study the fault detection and location technology. However, traditional fault detection methods such as DC resistance method, inter-electrode power method, AC impedance and power loss method can only find faults, and can not directly locate fault points. In this paper, a inter-turn short circuit fault location method based on repeated pulse method (RSO) is proposed, which is achieved by analyzing signal propagation time, winding symmetry and fault feature database.
