Abstract

The polyphase eutectics (α-Al+intermetallic+Si) constituting the final aluminum alloy microstructure were characterized by their phase composition, growth mechanism, and morphology of eutectic crystals. The main groups of eutectic phase constituents were presented with a special attention paid to intermetallic phases.
