Abstract
An Integrated Local and Trunk Digital Switching System with a capacity of 2048 ports for applications in the Secondary Switching Centres and below has been developed by R&D group of State-owned Indian Telephone Industries, Bangalore. This system has been developed with a remarkably low budget and this article describes the Development History and the System Archilecture.
