This study uses an experimental method using a Post-test Control Group Design. The instrument used in this study was the result of a test given to students in the form of a test of the ability to paraphrase folk poetry that had been listened to using audio-visual media. The results showed that there was a significant effect of using audio-visual media on the ability to paraphrase folk poetry in seventh grade students at SMP Al-Jihad Bogor, because audio-visual media produced a higher average score of 84 compared to the average value of the learning outcomes obtained. using the conventional model of 67.37.
