The chapter then moves on to examine the history and development of Conservation Agriculture, providing a specific analysis of the developments in Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Sudan and Tunisia. A section on the major research achievements and advances in knowledge of realigning development, economy and environment with Conservation Agriculture is also included. The chapter also addresses adoption barriers, constraints and gaps as well as highlighting the potential drivers and opportunities of the adoption of Conservation Agriculture.
