Abstract

SiCp/Al composites is widely used in industries for its superior mechanical property, but the severe wear of tools in cutting of SiCp/Al composites limitits further application. PCD tools is proved to be adaptable in cutting SiCp/Al composites, but the rupture of PCD tool nose often occurs in milling SiCp/Al composites.
