Abstract

In this paper, a new two-dimensional (2D) time-frequency distribution is introduced by extending the 1D Lv distribution (LVD). The 2D LVD inherits the desirable properties from the 1D LVD so that it has advantages of high signal energy concentration and trivial cross-terms since it is based on coherent integration. Important performances of signal energy concentration and computational complexity are analyzed and discussed.
