Rotational Isomerism in Fluorene Derivatives XIV Conformational Equilibria of 9-Substituted 9-(2-Cyanomethylphenyl) fluorene Derivatives

Abstract

(Eight 9-substituted 9-(2′-bromomethylphenyl)fluorene derivatives) (1) were prepared. Their conformational equilibria (ap\ightleftarrowssp) are discussed on the basis of kinetic data for internal rotation obtained by 1H NMR spectroscopy.
