Abstract

: This study has an objective to analyze the performativity’ theme, in public school, and in teaching work in Brazil. The discussion of performativity, based in the concept development by Stephen Ball, is situated in the context of education policies and manifested as a mechanism to transform subjectivities to ratify a model of education and market society. To support the analysis, research conducted in master and doctorate courses, texts published in events and periodicals of the area in the country were mapped and analyzed to understand the treatment of performativity concept as well as the main debates about the impacts of this conception in teaching work and public school.
