THE FIRST EXPERIENCE OF PERFORMING REPLACEMENT APPENDICULAR PLASTY OF THE MIDDLE AND LOWER THIRD OF THE RIGHT URETER IN RZD-MEDICINE PRIVATE CLINICAL HOSPITAL, NOVOSIBIRSK

Abstract

Appendicular ureteroplasty is an extremely rare surgical intervention that is performed to restore the patency of the upper urinary tract. The purpose of the operation is to replace the narrowed part of the ureter, restore the passage of urine through the ureter, preserve and restore kidney function. In some cases, if plastic reconstructive surgery is not possible, nephrectomy is used. This clinical case is the first experience of performing ureteroplasty using the appendix in RZD-Medicine private clinical hospital, Novosibirsk. The operation was performed laparoscopically. Positive long-term results of the intervention showed its effectiveness.
