Both simulation and experiment results show that the bi-quad filter can reduce the mechanical vibration effectively and the way of control parameter selection can guarantee the bandwidth of speed estimation and the stability of the speed control loop. Abstract

The mechanical vibration and the associated acoustic noise problem of variable frequency rotary compressor systems have been concerned by engineers for years. This paper proposes a scheme to reduce the vibration of a sensorless controlled rotary compressor by using bi-quad filter.
