Abstract

This article reveals a relatively new 48-pulse uncontrolled rectifier for harmonics compensation of input AC line current. The proposed rectifier utilizes the conventional 24-pulse parallelly connected rectifier with the addition of a passive current injection circuit. The passive current injection circuit consists of two additional lower rated power diodes which are connected to the secondary side of a dual tapped interphase transformer.
