Abstract

Mourning of children in early school age The article touches on the difficult subject of children’s mourning. We as parents, teachers and guardians should try to make the hard time of mourning easier for children. It is often that we as adults are not able to manage these negative emotions, that is why it is worth to educate ourselves in the question of mourning. Main topics analyzed in the article are the process of children’s mourning and different difficulties which may appear during the process. The aim of the article is also to analyze different methods of talking and cooperating with a child who is going through mourning. Furthermore, there was made an attempt to show different forms of outside help for a child and their family. Basic question, which was followed during the work of the article, is: how can we prepare a child for mourning and help them go through it? One of the main tasks of these considerations is giving parents and guardians advice about dealing with such a difficult situation.
