The Role of the Municipal Level of Public Authority in Ensuring the Sustainability of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses in Modern Conditions

Abstract

Recently, great importance has been attached to the development of local self-government, which makes it relevant to study the assessment of the role of municipal institutions, especially during the period of sanctions. In the course of the research, the potential economic opportunities of municipal institutions are identified, the conditions conducive to their economic independence are determined, the remaining inter-budgetary problems of regions and municipalities are shown. Given the role of local government in supporting the development of small businesses, the article considers the proposed anti-sanction measures to help SME, an assessment of their effectiveness is given and specific measures are proposed that correspond to the capabilities of municipal institutions.
