Abstract
An analytical model for a wireless system composed of several wireless networks working with different carriers and sharing the resources to give a better service to their users when handing off is introduced. We use capacity, overload, reservation and mobility variables to characterize the wireless network, which is modeled as a network of queues. We propose some methods for allocation, of the resources, namely sequential, uniform and m-uniform schemes. We found that m-uniform scheme improves the performance in the network by allowing overflow of users from a carrier to be offered as traffic into other cells of other carriers.
