For electric vehicle applications, regenerative braking is needed to make such vehicle can travel longer distance. This paper presents a control strategy for regenerative braking with variable duty cycle, by setting the duty cycle the output voltage of the converter can be increase more than the battery voltage under different speed of the motor. This concept can save more electric energy. To verify the analysis, experimental works were done.
