Abstract

In this paper, the state analysis of a pendulum problem via a modified Haar wavelet based approach is presented. Based upon some useful properties of Haar functions like operational matrix of integration, a special product matrix and a related coefficient matrix, problem of a pendulum is solved. Computational savings achieved with the modified method as compared to existing Hsiao method have been demonstrated using MATLAB PROFILER for different resolutions.
