The instrument was the interest questionnaire which was given to the students before (pretest) and after treatment (posttest). The data were analyzed using one sample t-test with a significance level of 5% to find out the effectiveness of CTL and PBL approaches on students' interest. Then, the data were analyzed using independent sample t-test to compare the effectiveness of both approaches. The results showed that both CTL and PBL methods were effective in terms of students' interest mean scores. Abstract
