Abstract

We propose two dynamic caching schemes of media suffix based on recently presented optimized batch patching (OBP), IC-BP and PA-BP, to alleviate the over-consumption of backbone bandwidth in media streaming systems, and derived the required average bandwidth, average server channels used and the maximum cache capacity of the respective scheme when dealing with an unique media object.
