Abstract

The methodology for determining the minimum allowable feed per tooth and maximum possible tooth lift is presented. Given the fact that with a decrease in the thickness of the metal layer being cut, the specifi c cutting force increases, in order to reduce the pulling force when designing broaches, it is necessary to strive to choose the maximum possible tooth lift.
