Abstract

The paper analyzes the operation of the Smart Grid electrical power supply system based on the solar photovoltaic station with the energy storage for smoothing the irregularity of the electric- power generation from the renewable energy source. The invention relates to a simulation model of an electrical energy storage device based on a direct voltage converter using a high-frequency transformer. The possibility in principle of ensuring the two-directional operation of the storage device of such design is shown. Results of the simulation of transition processes in an electric power system with a step-like increase of energy generation level are presented.
