Existential Anxiety and Transcendence in the Digital Age: Comment on “The Flick”

Abstract

Anne Baker’s The Flick won the Pulitzer Prize. The form of dramatic art is used to describe the development of movies from the traditional film age to the digital age. The drama has a bland tone in terms of characters, plots and scenes. However, in this seemingly peaceful pace of social transformation, there are many social problems, especially the survival environment of marginalized people. The contradictions exposed in this common people have led us to think about the path of human existence.
