CHALLENGES FACED BY PROFESSIONALS IN THE COVID-19 PROCESS: A QUALITATIVE RESEARCH

Abstract

The difficult period that started for businesses with the Covid-19 process in Turkey has been tried to overcome by providing some support by the state. The most important task regarding the understanding, implementation and follow-up of the supports provided to taxpayers belongs to the members of the profession. In this study, it is aimed to reveal the effects of the problems experienced by the members of the profession during the Covid-19 process on their working life, social life and family relations. Within the scope of the study, semi-structured in-depth interviews were conducted with six Certified Public Accountants (CPA), two women and four men, who work independently in their own financial advisory offices in Uşak. As a result of the study, in this process it was revealed that there was a significant increase in the workload of the members of the profession, also they experience great stress due to the uncertainties because of the confusion of legislation, their concerns about health and the loss of income.
