Abstract
Technological developments have led to a wave of change in various fields in Malaysia. The field of education is also not left behind to undergo various changes whether it is the operational event or the way the implementation of the education system. In line with the recommendation from the Ministry of Education Malaysia to highlight the involvement of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in education is something that needs to be done to face the 21st century. The thing that is the main agenda is the teaching and learning methods used in education. It is time to change the way of delivery that is appropriate to the passage of time. The existing methods have played such an important role in the school. But new strategies and facilitators should also be highlighted in the teaching and learning process. Past studies have proven that the application of new methods involving technology has a positive impact. The use of the Flipped Classroom approach in teaching and learning acts as an active facilitator and is very close to its target group of students. The objective of this study is to review the extent to which studies related to Flipped Classroom have been conducted in Malaysia. These study reviews 35 randomly selected previous studies that have been conducted by researchers in Malaysia on the implementation and use of Flipped Classroom. Based on 35 studies that have been selected found that the study conducted by the researcher covers the effectiveness and influence of 8 studies, cognitive and High Level Thinking Skills (HLTS) of 3 studies, perceptions and views of 4 studies, level of readiness and acceptance of teachers and students as many as 3 studies. The study looking at the implementation activities of Flipped Classroom is a total of 6 studies and while the study related to achievement, motivation, involvement, satisfaction, abilities, learning style and interaction is a total of 8 studies. Finally, the study conducted to analyze foreign studies related to Flipped Classroom is a total of 7 studies. Overall, this study that has been conducted by researchers in Malaysia proves that this Flipped Classroom is suitable and gives a good impact on teaching and learning.
