Covid-19 is a disease with a high rate of transmission, but people do not yet have full legal awareness to protect themselves before they pass on to others. In the context of Handling COVID-19, the Government through the Ministry of Health issued a regulation on Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) which is stated in the Regulation of the Minister of Health Number 9 of 2020. However, there are still many people who have low legal awareness to comply with government regulations. With the lack of legal awareness of the community in complying with government regulations, resulting in the continued increase in victims exposed to the Covid-19 virus. This study aims to determine and analyze the legal awareness of the community in the implementation of the Covid-19 health protocol causing problems for the spread of the virus in the community. The research method uses a sociological juridical approach using primary and secondary data. Data analysis used descriptive qualitative analysis. The results of the study show that the lack of public legal awareness in the application of Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) has triggered the ineffectiveness of government efforts to reduce the spread of Covid-19 in Indonesia.
