It is found that students in Sino-foreign cooperative education have strong intercultural communication competence since they have: 1) a good master of foreign language; 2) more opportunities to communicate and exchange with foreigners; 3) strong acceptance towards multi-cultures; 4) strong initiative and practical-ness to work or study abroad. However, problems and challenges exist, such as poor language output, superficial intercultural communication and unstable intercultural communicative approach. Abstract. The study mainly explores the main characteristics, existing problems and corresponding solutions of Sino-foreign cooperative education in cultivating intercultural communication talents. 中外合作办学中跨文化交际人才的培养
摘要本研究主要探讨中外合作教育在培养跨文化交际人才方面的主要特点、存在的问题及相应的对策。本文采用探索性分析和案例研究的方法,主要收集了来自昆士兰大学工程学院、西北理工大学和东科大格拉斯哥学院的数据。研究发现,中外合作办学学生具有较强的跨文化交际能力,主要表现在:1)外语水平较好;2)与外国人有更多的沟通和交流的机会;3)对多元文化的接受能力强;4)有较强的工作或出国学习的主动性和实践性。但也存在着语言输出不佳、跨文化交际肤浅、跨文化交际方式不稳定等问题和挑战。建议采用多样化的考核模式,营造跨文化交际环境,建立跨文化辅助机制,全面促进中外合作教育跨文化交际人才的培养。
