Do The Foreign Direct Investments Influence The Economic Growth In Emerging Countries? An Empirical Analysis In The Case Of European Countries

Abstract

This paper considers an empirical analysis of the impact of foreign direct investment on economic growth in the period 1997-2020 in emerging European countries. In this research, the econometric methods multiple regression with panel data with fixed effects and Granger causality testing were used in order to highlight both the impact of foreign direct investment on economic growth in the presence of other representative factors in the economy, as well as the type of relationship that exists between the two variables.
