Abstract

In this communication, a novel coplanar waveguide (CPW) fed slot antenna with wideband circularly polarized characteristics is proposed for the 5G millimeter-wave system. In addition to the traditional inverted-L structure at front side, a pair of inverted-L strip and a parasitic patch at the back of the substrate are creatively added to the antenna. The simulation results show that an impedance bandwidth is 41.07% (22-33.5GHz), and an AR bandwidth is 20.1% (24.17-29.8GHz), covering the 5G band n257 and n258.
