Abstract
In this paper, a hydrogen production system model based on photovoltaics as the main source of power and hybrid storage system consisting of a battery as a short-term power storage and H2 tank as a long-term storage facility is studied. A complete simulation model is created in Matlab-Simulink through the analysis of the component model. Numerical results simulations are provided. The operation of the combination of photovoltaic array and electrolysis is verified at different insulation levels. Notably, the solar array and electrolyzer produced the expected results with varying solar energy input.
